I R O N   S I R E N S
COMIC BOOKS

This is the fruition of a 4 year project by J.M. Manion of JM Productions. He describes the development of the idea for this comic book series:

"In a nutshell I was in contact with comic book writer Ian Ascher from Columbus, OH. I told him of my idea to have a comic book featuring real IFBB Pro's in it. They would not have "super-hero" names but we'd use their own & trade off of that. Initially the trio consisted of 4-time IFBB Fitness Olympia/Fitness International winner Susie Curry, now 2-time IFBB Fitness Olympia/Fitness International winner Adela Garcia & IFBB Fitness International winner Jenny Worth. All 3 were going to be involved with their characters as Ian was going to write in some of their personalities & things from their real lives. The next step was getting an artist committed. Long story short, aftergoing through about 3 artists that flaked out & did initial drawings of the girls we finally got to therough draft phase of pages actually being drawn. It was then that Jenny Worth decided to drop out. Production was halted. So that we wouldn't have to totally re-do the script I asked 3-time IFBB FigureInternational & 2-time IFBB Figure Olympia winner Jenny Lynn if she would be interested since sheoriginally started out as a fitness competitor & got her pro card winning the NPC USA Fitness overall. She agreed & we were back on track with a new character likeness of Jenny Lynn replacing Jenny Worth. The comic was going to have a color cover & be black & white on the inside due to finances. The comic premiered at the Arnold Classic in 2005. The original name was "Project Diva: Trinity". It was an instant success & we were planning the 2nd & 3rd books when we hit another few roadblocks."

JM goes on to state that "this was never intended to be a 1-shot book but a continuing series.Book 1 ends in a cliff-hanger. Another artist flaked out but for a good reason. He was hired to work for a major comic company & had his own book too. Can't blame him. Also, Susie Curry eventually retired."

"Now another 2 years later the book is renamed "Iron Sirens" & is fully colored. Some of thedialog has been changed but it still features Adela, Jenny & Susie plus a cameo by a dorky photographer in the vein of Jimmy Olsen. Issue 2 features a battle between heroine Adela Garciaversus Sonia Adcock. It is available now. Issue 3 will see Jenny Lynn battling Jenn Gates who wants to send her into the future with Adela. Who is she? Eventually Susie Curry will be phased out, (note: she will not be killed off), to be replaced by new Iron Siren yet to be named. Hopefully there will be 4 issue's in 2009. The goal is to feature more real IFBB fitness & figure athlete's as both heroes & villians in future installments. I'd also like to feature some of the IFBB pro men too if they'd be willing. Another thing to note is that all of this was dreamed up byme long before the t.v. series "Heroes" was ever heard of. Using real life characters & their super-powers. About the only nod we have to other super-heroes is that the girls do wear outfits when doing battle with their enemies."

"I see my role as more of an Executive Producer as I have financed all of this on my own. Trust me, it's not cheap, but I believe in the product. Ian is in charge of the writing as I said but he has also been the one trying to get us the best comic book artists to work for us.

Team FST-7's very own Jessica Graham and Danielle Colgan rocked the stage at the 2009 Sacramento Pro/Am show this past weekend. These two very lovely ladies made us very proud and looked absolutely amazing on stage!  Danielle brought home two first place awards in the Master's Figure A class and Open Figure B class.  Two very tough classes filled with lots of talent.  Jessica brought home a first place award in the Open Figure D class. This young lady is only 21 years old and has a very BRIGHT future ahead of her!  Congratulations to both of you!

Mr. Olympia 2009 Jay Cutler and Hany Rambod

Mr. Olympia 2009 202 lb. and under Kevin English and Hany Rambod

Olympia 2009 brought nothing but pride and happiness for Team FST-7 with two Mr. Olympia titles being won in the open and 202 lb. and under class.

Jay Cutler redefined history in one night and reclaimed the Olympia title after losing it last year.  This was a very emotional and important win for Team Cutler and the fans.  He looked absolutely remarkable and in the best shape of his life which earned him straight firsts in both prejudging and the finals.  His confidence and swagger as he walked across the stage and hit his poses made the fans and non-believers alike roar with applause and yells for the new Mr. O.  We are so happy for Jay, and it was a pleasure to have him be a part of team FST-7 this year!

Kevin English came back this year with a vengeance after placing second to David Henry in the 2008 Olympia.  He was a freak on stage and his size and conditioning really stood out amongst the other formidable competitors.  He made it really easy for the judges as they gave him straight firsts and crowned him Mr. Olympia 2009 202 lb. and under.

Congratulations to both these men and their nutritionist Hany Rambod for their success!

2009 USA Championships PDF Print E-mail

It was an exciting and very successful weekend for team FST-7.  Mark Alvisi, Tamer El Guindy and Branden Ray turned the heat up in Vegas at Jon Lindsay's 2009 USA Championships!  It was an amazing show with just under 500 high quality competitors and team FST-7 athletes and Hany Rambod walked away with high honors.  Mark Alvisi was titled 2009 USA Overall Champion and most deservingly earned his pro card.  Tamer El Guindy and Branden Ray were 1 and 2 in a tough battle in the light heavyweight class.  Many people would have liked to see Tamer El Guindy walk away with the second of three pro cards given out at this year's USA championships, but the chips did not fall in his favor this time.  Although no one can deny his razor sharp conditioning and we know that the card is waiting for him in the near future.  Branden Ray also made us proud with his incredible showing and we are happy that if he had to lose it was to another FST-7 team member.  Look out for him at this year's National's... he'll be back with a vengence.  Again, we'd like to congratulate New Pro Mark Alvisi, Branden and Tamer for their hard-work and amazing placings.  Congratulations guys!
